This year’s Cersaie in Bologna, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, will be an opportunity for Elios Ceramica to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The company, which is now part of the Italcer Group, led by CEO Graziano Verdi, was founded in 1968 in Castelvetro. 50 years of creativity, attention to detail and elegant taste with the artistic, artisan touch of real products Made in Italy have always been the trademarks of this company from Emilia.
Elios Ceramica presents seven collections in Bologna. Five are completely new (Horizon, Marmur, Deco Anthology, Stage and Trentino) and two are enhanced by new sizes, colours and decorations (Burlington and Grand Place).
The Horizon collection displays unique, essential surfaces. Its elegant style is available in a selection of brushed concrete effects with modern, contemporary colours, all enhanced by a geometric decoration that transforms spaces into designer surfaces.
Marmur offers a fine selection of marble, embellished by decorations and mosaics with golden inserts, to enhance the surfaces with unique, refined effects. The elegance of marble combines with the high- tech perfection of digital porcelain to make every space unforgettable. The collection stands out for the combination of third-firing decorations and ‘book-matched’ effect to furnish large commercial spaces.
Deco Anthology offers an extremely varied anthology of decorations inspired by old European and Mediterranean artisan tiles. Together with the Art Nouveau and Art Deco motifs, there are geometries with Nordic and oriental designs, with patterns from far-away countries that create suggestions for trendy spaces.
Inspired by the floor of an old stage, every plank in the Stage collection offers the emotion and traces of the past, with atmospheric colours for public and private spaces. Chevron decorations give a distinctive identity to the project.
The beauty of natural brushed wood is reinterpreted in porcelain in the Trentino collection by Elios know-how, which transforms the material into emotion. The two natural and lapped finishes give spaces warmth and modernity
Grand Place is a large collection inspired by bluestone with modern, natural colours. The range is now enhanced by the possibility to lay it outside: the new non-slip surface completes a range that already has extensive sizes, mosaics and special pieces.
New bright, modern nuances, a lapped version and 3D decoration are features of the Burlington collection. The timeless naturalness of sedimentary stone meets the high-tech value and resistance of full-body porcelain that is reliable and hard-wearing in every application.
The graphics that characterise the outside of the stand celebrate the anniversary, with the dates in large, stylised numbers.
Inside, an ideal pathway accompanies visitors on a discovery of new materials and winds round a central island dedicated to two brand-new collections: Marmur and Horizon. Each Elios Ceramica collection is not only presented through installed products, but for the first time through objects and furnishing elements that complete the applications and stylistic moods of the collections. They have been inspired by different spaces and trends: Nordic style and spaces with a contemporary mood, both private and commercial.
The exhibition of ceramic products not only includes traditional laying, but a new system of mobile summary panels and various installation suggestions.
Ceramic tradition with 50 years’ experience, but still continually evolving, aware of modern trends to meet the needs of an increasingly demanding Italian and international clientele.
“Half a century of history is a solid base on which Elios continues to build its future, together with its collaborators and partners,” commented Graziano Verdi, Italcer Group CEO. “Group investments in innovation and new technologies have begun to produce the expected results. This historic Emilia company creates the purest examples of products Made in Italy and has still plenty to say and to produce”.

Elios Ceramica has updated its image and will take part in Coverings 2019, held this year in Orlando, Florida, with a new look that includes its stand.
A geometric pattern inspired by contemporary architecture envelops the outside of the stand and allows the visitor to discover the interior through its openings. The presentation of each Elios Ceramica collection is enhanced by furnishing objects and elements that complete the display of applications and the style moods of the collections. There are a wide range of spaces and trends as inspiration: such as Nordic style, spaces with a contemporary feel and the outdoors. As well as traditional laying, the porcelain products are presented on mobile display panels with info boxes and a range of laying suggestions to help visitors understand the product.
Elios Ceramica presents six new collections: two are completely new (one in stone and one with a glossy finish) and four iconic collections with a larger assortment and more decorations.
The Castle Stone collection has five colours and five sizes. Its modular nature is perfect for a wide range of styles and spaces. Three decorations in 20x20 cm tiles increase the options for indoor and outdoor compositions. The Victory series has a 6x37 cm tile with a wavy, glossy surface that creates light effects. Thirteen colours offer tone-on-tone combinations, solid colours or contrasting hues. It is a collection ready to stimulate the imagination of architects and interior designers.
Inspired by an old stage floor, every plank in the Stage, collection offers emotions and traces of the past. Stage adds further possibilities for combinations for private and commercial spaces with its new 7.5x45 cm planks and two new decorative tiles in warm and cold hues enriched by a rich textured structure.
The elegant, contemporary style of the Horizon collection is exemplified in a selection of resins in modern colours. The already wide range is extended by a glossy plank and three 6x37 cm decorations, together with a 30x60 cm geometric decoration.
The continually up to the minute Deco Anthology, collection is a large anthology of decorations inspired by old handmade European and Mediterranean tiles. Geometric, Nordic and Oriental designs join Art Nouveau and Art Deco patterns.
The beauty of natural brushed wood is reinterpreted in porcelain in the Trentinocollection, with Elios know-how transforming material into emotion. The two natural and honed finishes are joined by a 7.5x45 cm plank in 4 colours with a glossy effect.
“The ability that has always been a feature of Elios Ceramica is that of knowing how to combine continual research into attention for detail with a vision of the whole, without neglecting the past, but while interpreting market trends,” says Graziano Verdi. “Tradition and innovation are the perfect complement to US culture, which has always supported the quality and style of successful products Made in Italy”.

From 23 to 27 September, Bologna will play host to the latest edition of Cersaie 2019, the International Exhibition of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishings, and Elios Ceramica will, as usual, be present at this prestigious event.
The unusual appearance of the stand makes it immediately striking: a geometric pattern inspired by contemporary architecture is wrapped around the outside, allowing visitors to discover the interior through its openings. Three entrances allow visitors a taster of the moods and materials on offer.
The display of the new ranges consists of tile installations laid on backlit volumes with a frame providing a summary of the mood conveyed by the collection along with the colour range, by way of references and inspirations between virtual spaces and real furnishings.
Elios Ceramica is presenting six new collections: four brand-new ones and two series, Castel Stone and Victory, which were presented last April at Coverings 2019, held in Orlando, Florida. The brand-new collections are inspired by various different materials, a sign of the company’s extensive expertise, including one each of metal, marble and stone as well as a transversal collection of patterns.
The Lamina collection is characterised by an elegant metal effect which adds a touch of personality to the four colours available in the range, all of them fresh and contemporary in feel. This sophisticated look is perfect for enhancing public spaces and lending homes a certain character. The two large sizes, 100x100cm and 50x100cm, are perfect for ensuring that they are laid cleanly and are suitable for large-scale applications.
The Marmi series offers an elegant and contemporary range of colours which, together with the large 60x120cm and 20x120cm sizes, make for a bold collection enriched by two finishes: semi-polished and natural. The patterns make this series exclusive thanks to a 60x120cm wallpaper-effect graphic and a floral motif offered in a 20x120cm size which is perfect for creating partitions or patterns for wall coverings.
The Harmony collection, in a play on the shades of various stones, comes in a large 100x100cm size and has a well-defined and high-quality structure. The four sizes, enriched by two mosaics, are perfect for playful juxtapositions between wall and floor tiles. This collection is rounded off by the 40x120cm size in a 2cm thickness, the ideal solution for coordinating indoor and outdoor spaces.
The Materic series consists of a large collection of 20x20cm patterns. Geometric patterns with metal, floral and “cementine” effects where the different materials which inspire the range blend with various surface finishes for a series which is able to make any collection unique.
The Castle Stone collection is available in four colours and five sizes, with a modularity capable of making different styles and rooms truly stand out. The small sizes allow for brick-effect laying patterns on walls. 30x30cm brick effect mosaic decoration.
The Victory series consists of a single-size 6x37cm wall tile characterised by a glossy, wavy surface which makes for handsome light effects. Twelve colours allow for endless combinations including tone-on-tone, monochrome or contrast. A collection that is ready to stimulate the imagination of designers and decorators alike, including through the new Trame patterns with metallic and iridescent effects.
Elios Ceramica was founded in 1968 and is now part of the Italcer Group, headed up by CEO Graziano Verdi.
“The further significant investments we recently made, about 10 million Euros, are beginning to bear their first significant fruits”, commented Verdi, CEO of Italcer Group. “On the occasion of the latest edition of Cersaie, we will be presenting a 100x100cm size that will allow us to break into a market sector linked to prestigious construction, further expanding the range of sizes available from Elios”.

The wide range of surfaces and decorative structures of the Dust series offers the possibility to range from the most classic style to sophisticated, design-oriented environments: the gloss and soft background finishes are enriched with Chevron, Line and Dune structures, for greater dynamism and versatility of installation. The elegance of the 5x20cm white-body strip and the versatility of the 17x21cm hexagonal porcelain stoneware format available in eight colours give the customer the possibility of creating monochromatic surfaces enriched with different textured effects.
The co-ordinating hexagonal tile has a lightweight structure reminiscent of earthen craftsmanship, adding textural interest to the elegance of the strip.
Hexagon presents an extensive range of hexagonal decorations, accompanied by seven contemporary background
colours, drawing inspiration from the surfaces of European and Mediterranean craftsmanship. The series offers four types of decorations: Lily with its classic and richly detailed designs, Frame and Cube with their more geometric patterns, and finally Japan with its more essential design motifs.
The white-body Allure series offers five background colours and four decorations that can be mixed and matched to achieve maximum effect. The bright colours are enhanced by light graphics and a soft texture that give the surface a pleasant movement. The elegant and refined foliage decorations are suitable for both horizontal and vertical coverings, and are perfect with the Elios floors, making the series extremely versatile.
Slate reproduces a stone effect with a strong character and a graphic effect rich in detail and veining. The surface is enriched by its light texture and material details, recreating the light effects and movement typical of stone.
Its wide range of colours and formats makes this series suitable for all types of environments and uses: from the elegant
60x120 size to the modular formats for a more rustic touch. The colour palette ranges from the strong contrasts between air force blue and copper of River to the timeless tone-on-tone shades of Dark and Gold.
Finally, the Yosemite series, where the contemporary elegance of the wood effect is also carried to the chevron format for refined and timeless spaces, transforming surfaces into furnishing elements.
Warm colours in full Scandinavian style with a slight colour movement offer a completely natural effect.
